Attending Troops can indicate a country to represent through your unit registration. Units will make a display about their country, including it's culture and Scouting program. All displays will be part of the Global Village. Other components such as photos, cultural items, and clothing for the display are encouraged. The more your unit puts into it's display, the more engaging it will be for all of the participants!
- Scouts will be given a "passport" for the event, which they can get stamped at each country's display.
- Scouts are encouraged to learn basic phrases in the language from their assigned country, and share them with other participants.
- Scouts are encouraged to wear a neckerchief, neckerchief slide, hat or other parts of a Scouting uniform that identifies their country throughout the event.
- A large component of the event will be games and activities from around the world. Most of these will be competitions, challenges and contests that Scouts have never seen before.
- The Midway will feature exhibits and displays about how Scouts can become more involved in World Scouting both at home and abroad.
- We will host Radio and Internet connections with Scouts internationally in Mexico, Honduras, Columbia, Peru and Uruguay.
- Arrow of Light Scouts are encouraged to attend and participate with the Troop that they will be joining as Scouts BSA members so they can enjoy a unique event experience!
When registering, please be realistic in the number of Scouts from your unit that will be attending so that we can allocate camping space appropriately.
