Base Camp Pre-K Days

These programs are designed just for 2-4 year olds.  Spend your mornings at Base Camp for Pre-K Activity Sessions.  Join in group games, outdoor activities and crafts.  This summer Base Camp will offer four themed sessions.   All sessions from from 9am to 12:00 noon.   

$10 per child each day or $30 if you sign up for all four days at once; no cost for adults.

Get Outdoors | June 13
In this session introduce your child to the wonders of the outdoors by making s’mores over a fire, taking a nature hike around Base Camp, and exploring a tent city. Children will also create their own camping scene collages and play a large group outdoor adventure game.
Plants | June 20
Explore the living outdoors through a session devoted entirely to plants. Through activities like planting a seed to take home, going on plant scavenger hunt around Base Camp, making leaf rubbings, and playing tree-themed games, children will explore the marvels of plants.
Get Active | July 11
This session is all about movement. Besides going through an obstacle course and playing tons of fun games, children will also make their own homemade bouncy balls and participate in group music, dancing and yoga.
Bugs and Birds | August 8
Discover the insects and birds that are all around us. By going on a bug hunt and nature hike, children will identify the insects and birds around them and learn a few bird calls along the way. There will also be oppor-tunities to make your own bird and play large bird-related games.
