Leave No Trace Trainer Course Fall 19
The Trainer Course is an informative fun 2-day session on the ethics and practice of minimum impact recreation and travel. Course participants learn skills and teaching techniques through discussions and demos in a rustic outdoor setting.
The course is for BSA adults and youth at least 14 years of age. It prepares you to reduce impacts on camp outs and high adventure be an Outdoor Ethics Guide or Adviser
When: October 11-13, 2019
Where: Stearns Scout Camp. Arrive Friday for camp set up by 6:00 p.m. for check in at the Johnson Shelter. Graduation 10:30 a.m. Sunday. Leave after cleanup
Cost: $45. includes food, materials, camping fee, LNT Trainer strip. Big Foot Playbook available for $15.
What to Bring: tent, sleeping bag, pad, small day pack for hiking, mess kit and utensils, water bottle, bug spray, rain gear and usual personal gear, etc and props for teaching Additional information will be sent prior to the course.
Pre-req: You must take the online LNT Awareness course (http://lnt.org/learn/online-awareness-course) prior to coming to class; bring your training certificate.
