Museums in Scouting — Where Are the Best Places to Go With the Kids in My Unit? - John Guthmann

Community field trips comprise some of the most fun, memorable, and educational experiences kids have in Scouting.  With this special field trip of your own, experience one of the only museums in the country to feature the history of both the Boy Scouts and the Girl Scouts—the North Star Museum of Boy Scouting and Girl Scouting.  While you are at the Museum, learn how to leverage museums and other community venues and resources in your Scouting program.  We will identify and discuss some of the “tried and true” venues, how to work with them, and how you can dovetail their programs with the needs of the kids in your unit. Perfect for Cub Scout leaders and Scouts BSA leaders looking for advancement projects, community service, and just getting out of the house. After the program is complete, you will have a chance to look over the unique exhibits of the North Star Museum. Museum admission fees have been waived for this course.

Venue: The North Star Museum of Boy Scouting and Girl Scouting, 2640 7th Ave E, St Paul, MN 55109

Limit 15 people - ADULT LEADERS ONLY
