Base Camp Pre-K Days

Fun and active programs for youth ages 2-5 and an adult. . Each month features a seasonal theme with activities that include free play, story time, craft project, and a nature hike with games.  All sessions run from 9 am to 12:00 noon.   

$10 per child each day or $32 if you sign up for all four days at once; no cost for adults.

Monday, September 30, 2019 - Construction Zone Ahead!

“HONK-HONK!” Strap on your tool belt and put on your hardhat as we step into Base Camp’s busy construction site! We will learn all about the big machines and people that use them every day. Then, we will use what we learn to construct some creations to take home with us. “Beeep…beeep…beeep!”

Monday, October 28, 2019 - Masters of Disguise

Some critters can blend in to become invisible, others prefer to stand out from the rest, and some even pretend to be another animal entirely! We will spend our Halloween transforming ourselves into these sneaky creatures to learn more about them through fun and games. Bring your own costume and see if you can fool us of your true identity!

Monday, November 25, 2019 - Talk Like A Turkey

Did you know turkeys say more than ‘GOBBLE-GOBBLE?’ Come and learn more about these wacky, feathered friends that live nearby! We will share what that we are thankful for and explore all the traditions from this yummy holiday. Before you go, be sure to make your own turkey caller so you can talk to the turkeys from your neighborhood!

Monday, December 30, 2019 - Winter Olympics

Get on your goggles, snow suits, and practice your “bob”sledding because the Pre-K Winter Olympics are coming to Base Camp!  With snow races, obstacle courses, and more you’ll keep nice and warm outside – even during a Minnesota winter!
