Base Camp Pre-K Days

Fun and active programs for youth ages 2-5 and an adult. Activities include: free play, circle time, games, story and a craft. This Spring, Base Camp will offer four themed sessions.   All sessions run from 9 am to 12:00 noon.   

$10 per child each day or $32 if you sign up for all four days at once; no cost for adults.

Monday, May 20, 2019 - Let's Make Some Music!

It’s fun to dance and play music, no matter your age!  We’re breaking out the maracas and tambourines for this fun and loud pre-K day.  Come sing and play instruments to make a Base Camp band, as well as play dancing games to music.

Monday, June 17, 2019 - Camping With Bigfoot

“Rustle-rustle!” Did you hear that? I think it might be BIGFOOT! Lucky for us, the friendly one that lives nearby enjoys when we stop in for a visit. We will track Bigfoot to his campsite for some tall tales by the fire and to learn some handy knots during our project. Don’t forget to snap a photo for proof! “STOMP!”

Monday, July 29, 2019 - Digging For Dinosaurs

“SPLASH!” Did you know that dinosaurs used to swim where we are walking now? Get your hands dirty hunting for fossils and find out what archaeologists learn by studying these rare artifacts. Together, we will play some fun games that are inspired by these enormous, prehistoric creatures. “ROAR!”

Monday, August 26, 2019 - Aqua Adventures

Beat the heat with some cool water!  Inside we’ll learn about what lives under the waves, and maybe even meet some fish.  Outside, come cool off in the Base Camp kiddie pool, where we can find sunken treasure and learn about coral reefs and the fishy friends that live in them.
