​Welcome to BALOO training! It is the Cub Scout leader training required for any Cub Scout den or pack outdoor event, including pack camping overnighters and Webelos den overnighters.

BALOO training is comprised of two components—an online component and a practical, hands-on component. Both components must be completed to qualify as a “TRAINED” Cub Scout outdoor leader.

The online component must be completed prior to the practical component. The online training contains introductory and basic information that will be built upon during the practical training.

In order to keep this training to one day we will be having a working lunch. Please make sure that you pack a lunch. There will be a refrigerator to keep things cold.

Training is a one day training event that introduces cub scout leaders to the skills needed to plan and conduct pack outdoors activities.  Everyone will learn and enjoy this event together. Successful completion of this training will result in an increased level of confidence and a willingness to plan age-appropriate outdoor activities.
The training will include planning, meal preparation, campfire programs, first aid, nature hikes, games and cooking.  

With proper planning your pack will be set for a fun and exciting adventure in the great outdoors
