Klondike 2022
Whodunnit Camporee

When: February 5th 2022, Registration to open at 8am

Where: Mausam way near Gowen Park, Sanford, ME 

Cost:  $8 per person

Be Prepared: This year’s theme is "Who Dunnit?" and Scouts will get to solve a klondike crime. 

Sled Divisions:  Sleds will be divided in to two groups Junior and senior divisions based on age and rank. Any patrol will a scout 15 years of age or older, and or star scout or higher will be senior division

Sled Judging: there will be sled judging, sled will be judged on the trail worthiness, Patrol spirt, scout built/maintained. There will be extra points for sleds that embrace the "Who dunnit?" theme 

General Information about the Klondike sleds
*To compete you must have a regulation sled. If there isn't any snow bring your backpacks and your sled.
*The sleds will be primarily scout made and can be made of various materials as long as the sled is rugged enough to make it through the day.

Sled Specifications:
     Weight: as light and strong as possible
     Size: 6' long by 2' wide (There could be narrow trails)
     Sled: Height whatever works for you Sled will have Troop #, Patrol Symbol, Patrol Name, Town, and Sponsor ON the sled.
     Sled: will have with it the Patrol's Flag ON A POLE for easy use.
     Sled team to consist of patrol members with at least 3 members and NO MORE than 8.
     Other items you may need after reading the letter from Klondike Pete.
**Best Sled Awards for each Division will be given.

Bring a foil diner for every Scout in the Patrol

Staff: we are looking for mayors and helpers to run cities, please let Klondike Pete (AKA Jed) know if you would like to help. You can create and original site or have several site ideas ready to go. Also, there is a different patch for those who help on staff.

Covid-19: as the new covid world we live in has brought us many new practices now. Be prepared to have masks, and keep your distance. ultimately be prepared for any other protocols changes we will do our best to communicate these changes to the troops.
