Kennebec Valley Fall Camporee at Adventure Bound in Caratunk, Maine

September 30th to October 2nd, 2016

GET READY FOR THE ADVENTURE!  

Come and join us for the most exciting fall campore program offering in the Pine Tree Council for 2016.   Hosted by Karal Talpey and the team from Jackman, this camporee will offer a wide variety of opitons to select from for your Scouts and leaders.   Offerings include cabin or tent camping, Pizza party, Whitewater rafting, canoe trips, rock climbing, ropse course, hiking, biking, and a swimming pool.   

So much to do and so little time over the weekend.

Some activies require minimum level of training for adult leaders to have in order for the Scouts to participate.   Please make sure you have one adult leader who meets these requirements before you sign up:

Kennebec Valley Fall Camporee 2016 Activity Requirements

Rafting Trips/Canoeing/Kayaking

1. One adult 21+ years of age

2.  Ability to pass Swimmers test (Bring Swimming tags from summer camp:  Would have to retest if any major health change since summer camp.

3. Safety Afloat

4. Safe Swim Defense

5. Weather Hazards

6. First Aid

7. CPR

8. FLOAT PLAN

Hiking

Must be under 5 miles to be considered day hike. If longer than 5 miles; need Wilderness First Aid
Adult 21+ years s of age (Responsible Adult)
First aid 
CPR
Trek Safely
Weather Hazards

Biking

Adult 21+ years of Age (Responsible Adult)

Swims will be set up and implemented PER the Guide to Safe Scouting & Safe Swim Defense policies and proceedures. 

Tour Permits can be turned in at the camporee by units.   Incomplete Tour Permits (not having enough leaders with the right certifications/qualifications as listed above) could result in your unit having to change the activity they are doing.
