                      2026 York District Pintwood Derby
                                     Outlaw Rules

• No electric or motorized addition to the car.
• Kinetic energy cars (elastic propelled) are allowed and they will be in their own category for racing.
• No weight limit.
• Must keep the following dimensions for the car to run on the track and not interfere with other racers.
  • The minimum width between wheels shall be 1 and 3/4 inches.
  • The pre-cut axle locations in the official Pinewood Derby car block should be used. The pre-cut axle locations provide a nominal wheelbase of 4 and 3/8 inches.
  • The maximum length of the car should not exceed more than 7 inches to be able to fit on the track at the start gate.
  • The maximum overall width of the car including wheels and axles should not exceed 2 and 3/4 inches.
  • The minimum clearance between the bottom of the car and the bottom of the wheels should be 3/8 inches.
• Awards
  • The top 3 racers will be recognized in each category.
  • Best in Show will be recognized for car design
