WHAT: Calling all golfers to participate in our first-ever Golf Marathon to benefit Scouting! Come play 18 holes or up to 100! 

WHERE: Naples Golf  & Country Club, one of Maine’s premier public 18-hole golf courses located in the in the heart of the Sebago Lake Region.

WHEN: Monday, June 19th (The longest day of the year!)

TIME:  Play begins at 5:30am and will end at dusk—play at the time that works for you! 

HOW: Get friends and family to sponsor you for each hole of golf you play. The goal is for each golfer to raise $500, however we ask that you have a minimum of $100 in pledges /sponsorships to register to play. 

If you are a Scout, wear your uniform and be entered into a special raffle!

Golfers raising $1,000 will receive a commemorative green, LL Bean soft shell jacket. There will be prizes for most money raised, closest to pin, longest drive and lowest score after 100 holes.

WHAT IS INCLUDED: Lunch, non-alcoholic beverages, and golf carts will be provided free to each registered golfer. Other beverages will be sold on the premises.

GOLF MARATHON RULES: Golfers are asked to get a minimum of $100 in pledges /sponsorships in order to participate. Overall goal for each golfer is to raise at least $500 for Scouting.  Each player will turn in their pledge sheet during registration the day of the event. Each player will be given a FREE commemorative patch, FREE event t-shirt, and all food and non-alcoholic beverages are FREE. Golfers will play in pairs and there will be one cart per two players. Each pair will be given a scoring sheet to track the number of holes played. Using marathon strategy or pure play, players may also: Drop 2 balls on par 3’s to reach 100 and skip holes for faster play.

PRIZES: Prizes will be given for close to the pin, longest drive and lowest score after 100 holes.

Prizes will be given for the most money raised:

- Raise $100 and receive a commemorative Pine Tree Council Golf Marathon event patch
- Raise $500 and receive a voucher for a commemorative Pine Tree Council Golf Marathon polo shirt.
- Raise $1,000 and receive a personalized, green LL Bean fleece jacket that has the Pine Tree Council Logo and the words: “I am tougher!”
