Get ready to take your Cub Scout program outdoors with confidence!
BALOO (Basic Adult Leader Outdoor Orientation) is required training for any Pack planning to host overnight camping experiences. This hands-on course gives leaders the tools, knowledge, and confidence to plan and lead safe, fun, and memorable outdoor adventures for Cub Scouts and their families.
Join us for a weekend of learning, connection, and classic camp experiences at Camp Roosevelt’s Owl’s Roost Campsite.
What You’ll Learn
- How to plan and run a successful Pack overnight campout
- BSA/Scouting America camping policies and safety guidelines
- Age-appropriate outdoor activities for Cub Scouts
- Outdoor cooking, gear selection, and campsite setup
- Program planning that keeps Scouts engaged and having fun
