Important Safeguarding Youth Training Update

As of May 31, 2026, the National Office will automatically expire anyone who has not completed the new Safeguarding Youth Training (SYT), even if their previous Youth Protection Training (YPT) had not yet expired.

To avoid any lapse in registration, we are asking all adult volunteers to go ahead and complete the new and improved Safeguarding Youth Training as soon as possible.

In-person SYT classes are being offered FREE of charge.
Once you complete the new training, future renewals will only require a 15-minute refresher course.

Please help us ensure continued compliance and a safe Scouting environment for all youth by completing this training promptly.
