Council Activity Planning

What are we doing? 
The Council Event Planning Workshop is design to bring the Program volunteer together with the resources needed to add new Activities through the end of 2024 and refine Activities on the calendar with “Save the Date” status or add Activities that missed the previous planning cycle.  This is a hands on working meeting to process your event; During this workshop, Members of the Council Program Committee, Risk Assessment, Medic-corp, and Short Term Camp Administration will be represented to assist in helping District and Council Activity Directors get their basic Activity planning complete and incorporated into the updated Quivira Council Program Guide, along with registration and marketing through the end of 2024. 

Once your basic Activity planning information is complete you are welcome to leave and enjoy the remainder of your Saturday or hang out and help the group.

In some cases It will not be possible to complete your Activity planning during this four hour period; however, your Activity can still get captured in the Council Activity Tracking database; and in these instances, follow-up communication with your Activity Staff Advisor will be required in order to complete the information and get your Activity up for registration! 

Activity Directors completing their Activity planning, per the Council Activity Policy, by our March 25th deadline will have the comfort of knowing their Activity will be included in the upcoming Council Program Guide.

Who should register and attend?

Activity Directors with events being held through December 31st, 2024.  Includes, Camporees, Pine Wood Derby, OA,…any Activity Director needing support!

Why are we doing this?
In order to deliver Quivira Council Scouters a Program Guide, calendar resource, and registration for all Activities occurring through 2024; thus, enabling Units and Districts to complete their annual planning this summer and allow us to refine the Activity registration process and marketing for our Activities.
 
When?
Saturday, February 25th, 2023.  8:00am – 12:00pm ( In Person)

How much does it cost?
ZERO!  ($0.00)  We will not providing lunch or other refreshments so plan accordingly and bring what you need to support your personal snacking needs.
