Basic Adult Leader Outdoor Orientation Specifics Training
September 22 & 23, 2023
at Parsons City Lake
This one and one-half day course is designed as an introduction to the Cub Scout outdoor program for those leaders (Cubmasters, Asst. Cubmasters, Den leaders, other pack leaders, and parents) who are interested in adding a camping component to their Pack activities. BALOO is an instructor-led course which is conducted at the Council level. BSA's Cub Scout level camping policies will be taught along with the necessary tools to help units carry out a successful camping experience.
Completion of this course is mandatory for at least one adult on a Pack overnighter.
The weekend will begin with a 6:30pm Check-In Friday Evening. Class begins promptly at 7:00 pm. We plan to conclude by 5:30pm Saturday.
Early Bird Registration (through September 8th) is $20 per participant.
LATE Registration increases to $30 per participant on September 9th.
The last day to register will be 5:00 PM Friday, September 15.
Refunds are not available, but may be transferred to another leader.
Registration is online only. Online payment is required and can be made by credit card or electronic check.
Scout Field Uniform, clothing commensurate to weather, rain gear, tent, sleeping pad or cot, flashlight, personal items kit, pocketknife, personal First Aid kit, chair, mess kit, a cup, a can-do attitude, and smile.
Liability, as well as Sickness and Accident Insurance are provided for all registered BSA members of Quivira Council.
