Basic Adult Leader Outdoor Orientation Specifics Training
May 1-2, 2021 at the Quivira Council Koch Service Center
This one and one-half day course is designed as an introduction to the Cub Scout outdoor program for those leaders (Cubmasters, Asst. Cubmasters, Den leaders, other pack leaders, and parents) who are interested in adding a camping component to their Pack activities. BALOO is an instructor-led course which is conducted at the Council level. BSA's Cub Scout level camping policies will be taught along with the necessary tools to help units carry out a successful camping experience.
Completion of this course is mandatory for at least one adult on a Pack overnighter.
Saturday-Sunday, May 1-2 .... The weekend will begin with a 7:30am Check-In Saturday morning. Class begins promptly at 8:30am. We plan to conclude by 11:00am Sunday morning.
Early Bird: $25 per participant. LATE Registration: $30 per participant beginning April 17th. Fees are to be paid online by check or card.
Last Day to register - Fri., April 23 by 5:00 PM
ALL Meals will be provided. Indicate any dietary needs on registration.
Scout Field Uniform, clothing commensurate to weather, rain gear, tent, sleeping pad or cot, flashlight, personal items kit, pocketknife, personal First Aid kit, chair, mess kit, a cup, a can-do attitude, and smile.
Liability, as well as Sickness and Accident Insurance are provided for all registered BSA members of Quivira Council. All participants must sign Quivira Council’s PARENTAL/GUARDIAN, SCOUT, & LEADER COVID-19 ACKNOWLEDGEMENT & CONSENT WAIVER FORM at check-in on Saturday, May 1st.
