"A short-term camp is any council-organized overnight camping program, whether one-time or continuing, that is one, two or three nights in length where the council or its agents provide the staffing and may provide program and food services, and includes camps conducted off council properties. National training courses are subject to the short-term camp requirements, regardless of format or duration."

Why do we care? Because - District and Council Camporees, Cuborees, Webelosree, Order of the Arrow overnighter, Wood Badge and National Youth Leadership Training camping events fall under the new NCAP Standards beginning January 1, 2021!  It's time to get trained to be PREPARED!

The STCA is the third leg of the preparedness tripod that upholds safe and effective programs for youth.  The STCA will help the Event director succeed by understanding the standards that apply to their event.
In the ideal, each district will have 2 or 3 individuals who become Short Term Camp Administrators to ensure the success of the program.  Your district needs YOU!

The Certification lasts for 2 years and the training can be taken in ONE day here at your Helpful Koch Scout Center!
$75.00 Fee includes: National Camp School STCA training materials, program supplies, refreshments and, of course, a PATCH!
Join us on the following dates (just pick one!) and begin the journey to helping your district succeed!
