Don't be fearful of Math!

"Tyger Tyger, burning bright,
In the forests of the night;
What immortal hand or eye,
Could frame thy fearful symmetry?"
...so begins the poem "The Tyger" by William Blake.

Fearful Symmetry is the newest Cub Scout Nova Award. It lets Cub Scouts explore the mathematical world of symmetry, mirrors and patterns.

Activities will enable Wolves, Bears, and Webelos to fulfill some requirements for the NOVA Fearful Symmetry Award, however all Cub Scouts are welcome (including Lions and Tigers). Packets will be provided to include all requirements for completing the NOVA Award, including items not covered by this event.

Registrations can take place online or at the Council Service Center in-person or by phone (563.556.4343). Scouts MUST be pre-registered. Maximum of 60 Scouts.
