Join the Diesel Mechanics Exploring Program!

Do you like taking things apart and putting them back together? Thinking about a career that isn’t behind a desk? A Diesel Mechanic or Auto Technician career may the right choice for you! Truck Country invites you to participate in their Large Engine Mechanic Exploring Program.

How many of us know what we are looking at when we pop the hood of a vehicle? Most of us see a mass of wires, belts and parts that make little sense. A mechanic sees something very different: A puzzle of pieces that fit together just as they should. Understanding that puzzle can help them narrow down the options, diagnose the problem, and have you back on the road as soon as possible.

What to Expect:

• Inspect a semi-truck up close – inside and out
• Remove engine components and learn the functionality and operation
• Compete in a “Top Gun” competition
• Build your own light or horn circuit

Exploring is a non-profit which offers career exploration programs to young men and women ages 14-20 that have completed the eighth grade.

Annual Registration Fee: $40.00 (payable to Exploring)
Consecutive Meetings: October 16, November 13, December 11
