Cub Scout Outdoor Opportunities with Swiss Valley Nature Center!

My Tiger Jungle Adventure: Tigers
Monday, November 19th, 2018 from 5:00-6:30 p.m.
Spend the evening at the Swiss Valley nature Center completed some electives Participants will take a hike, identify two species of native birds, make a bird feeder, and learn the sounds of the forest.

Grow Something:  Wolf and Lions
Tuesday, February 12th, 2018 from 5:00-6:00 p.m.
We will cover growing zones, plant a seed and care for it as well as journal about it for 30 days, and participants will see examples of community gardens and learn the importance of growing their own food.
Requirements covered: This program will cover requirements in the Grow Something Wolf Program and the Ready, Set, Grow Lion Program.

Fur, Feathers, and Ferns:  Bears
Tuesday, April 2nd, 2019 from 5:00-6:00 p.m
Earn your achievement by spending the evening at the Swiss Valley Nature Center. You will have the opportunity to learn about native animals, endangered, extinct or threatened animals, observe wildlife, use magnifying glass/microscope, and composting.

Earth Rocks!:  Webelos
Wednesday, April 24th, 2019 from 5:00-6:30 p.m
Have a rock'n time learning about the hardest things on earth: rocks! You will learn about the three types of rocks, how our land was formed, identify fossils, and visit an alluvial fan.
