Join the Conservation & Wildlife Management Exploring Program!
The Dubuque County Conservation Board invites you to become a member of our Conservation & Wildlife Management Exploring Program! If you have an interest in science, wildlife, and/or outdoor education & conservation, then we have the perfect program for you! Join us to gain a behind the scenes look into the career fields of conservation and wildlife management.
Previous Activities Included:
- Conducting water testing of groundwater
- Populating fishing areas by spawning trout
- Scoring deer antlers and learning about predator hunting
Our First Meeting:

Time: 5:00-6:00 PM
Location: Swiss Valley Nature Center | 13606 Swiss Valley Road, Peosta, IA 52068
Cost: $40
This program will have six meetings. Because of the speakers and demonstrations the leaders line up, attendance is very important. For this reason, meeting dates, times, and program ideas will be discussed at the first meeting..
How do I Sign Up?
Let us know if you are planning to attend! Space is limited, but a minimum of 10 students is required for program. Send completed registration form (signed by a parent), availability and interest sheet, and $40.00 registration fee (Checks can be made payable to Exploring) to: Exploring | PO Box 732 | Dubuque, IA 52004.

Exploring programs are open to all young men and women ages 14 – 20 that have completed the eighth grade.
