Are you a Catholic Scout?
Are you interested in finding out about your Catholic Faith?
Have you ever heard of or seen Ad Altare Dei Emblem?
Do you know what Ad Altare Dei means?
Would you like to join more than 2000 Catholic Boy Scouts in the Archdiocese who have earned the Emblem?
To find out answer to these questions, come and learn as we explain the Ad Altare Dei program.
Date: Saturday, August 19, 2017
Time:  7:15 p.m..
Location: Church of the Resurrection  |  4300 Asbury Rd in Dubuque
East Parking Lot, under the tent set-up. Lower Level
Who: Catholic Boy Scouts, Venture Scouts and Explorers who have completed the 6th Grade but not yet turned 18 (male or female). Counselors who are working with the youth of their units.
Cost:  Free informational session
What to Bring:  yourself, a notebook and a calendar
The Ad Altare Dei Program Kick-off is to introduce the Scouts and adults to the program. Books for the course will be available to look at. We'll have some older Scouts who have earned the Emblem present to talk about the program.
The Ad Altare Dei program is designed to be done in small groups with an Adult Counselor(s), this program takes six to nine months (usually two to three meetings per chapter) the program has eight chapters. The Council Catholic Committee on Scouting will have trained counselors present to answer questions. This meeting should last one hour. Pizza and drinks provided.
