Friday, January 8, 2021 event has ben canceled

We have an action packed evening of adventure for $25 per adult and $45 per Scout.

Cub Scouts will spend an evening at the museum exploring SCI after-hours!  Experience science behind the scenes for an evening of education and fun!  The program that SCI has put together for Mid-Iowa Council will focus on different requirements to earn the NOVA STEM award! 

Your Scout will have the opportunity to visit the limit time SUE, the Dinosaur exhibit.

Covid Information – We take your safety seriously. Due to Covid, you will be required to wear a mask at all times, except when eating, while in the Science Center. Other precautions include, your temperature taken at the door, increased cleaning, 50% capacity, social distancing, and smaller groups sizes. While we are excited to still offer this great event, we are unable to offer the over-night portion due to Covid precautions. Please read below for new exciting things included within the ticket price due to this change.    

With the changes in this event due to Covid, dinner and a parking pass will be provided for you at no extra cost. Unfortunately, as stated above, we are unable to offer the over-night portion of this event at this time. The event will run from 6 PM to 10:30 PM.  

Driving directions are available at www.sciowa.org. If you are running late, please call the Box Office at (515) 274-6868 ext. 228.  The check-in starts at 6 PM.  The event will end at 10:30 PM.

Each Lion and Tiger Cub (Kindergarten and 1st grader) must be accompanied by an adult.  Wolf, Bear and Webelos are required to have a 6 Scout to 2 adult ratio per Pack.  (dens can be mixed, Lion/Tiger adults cannot double as a Wolf, Bear, or Webelos Leader.)

NOVA STEM award guide books are available for purchase at the Scout Shop.
Lion Cubs and Tiger Cubs are NOT eligible to earn the NOVA STEM award.
