This year at the PW Fall Camporee, we are holding our second multi-sport adventure race! The first one was held in 2020. Scouts in your Troop can sign up as 3 or 4-person adventure race team and participate in a race that includes coasteering by canoe, gravel biking, trekking, and orienteering. The team must work together for the entire race. Troops who only have 1 or 2 Scouts that want to race can be paired up with Scouts from other units at the Friday evening mandatory meeting.
If Scouts in your Troop do not want to race, no problem, they may just camp and enjoy a 5-mile Fall hike in the woods with some awesome views, fun activities, and cool points of interest throughout a uniquely managed private timberland. I’m sure all your Scouts will enjoy it. See the gear lists for both the racers and hikers.
Lunch for all Scouts, leaders, including those scouts racing, will be provided lunch out on the trail. Look for the dinner bell symbol on the map!
Coasteering by canoe will be done on a lake. Adventure racers will be provided with canoes, lifejackets, and paddles. You will need to bring your own gravel-worthy bike.  Bikes should be in good riding condition and helmets are required gear.  
Unit leaders, please bring a copy of your Troop’s Swim Classification Record to check-in. Adventure racers will need to have the Swim Classification of Swimmer. Any team who has Scouts with a swim classification as a Non-swimmer or Beginner must have an adult who is classified as a Swimmer and skilled in canoeing go along as ‘ballast’.
REGISTRATION: We will need the following information upon registration. Registration will close on Thursday, Sept 19th at 11:59 PM.
Adults: Name, phone, email, gender, dietary restrictions, allergies
Scouts: Name, Rank, DOB, gender, dietary restrictions, allergies, Y/N doing the adventure race.
If doing the Soaring Eagles Adventure Race, we will also need: Swim classification, Team Name (optional), First names of team members(optional).
