New Training for ALL Cub Scout Leader Positions

We are going to try training in a new way.

1. The Cub Scout online training can be done in your own time and is a great way to get the basics of leading your packs and dens. 
2. We also acknowledge that in-person training does enhance the basic training.  

So, let us try combining online training with a Zoom meeting after your online training.

We will be asking you to go online and do the Cub Scout Position Training Requirements over a two-week period (See Attachment “Cub Scout Leader Position Training”).  You can choose a September or October sessions. The online training will be followed by  Zoom meetings for all leaders and positions.  The purpose of the Zoom meeting is to cover additional information we think you will find beneficial and for you to ask your questions. 

Register for the Zoom meetings here. One registration covers both meetings.

Log in to take training:  http://my.scouting.org/    If you have not logged into my.Scouting.org before - you will need to create an account (See Attachment “How to Create Personal Record”).

Session Week 1 – Do the “Before 1st Meeting” training online by September 21 or October 19 (Max viewing time = 49 minutes).  See attached listing of training modules for your position.  Please keep notes of questions you have while viewing the training.   Join the Zoom meeting on Tuesday, September 21, or October 19.

Session Week 2 -  Do the “Before First Outdoor Activity” and “Earning Your Training Strip” training online by September 28  or October 26 (Max viewing time = 14 to 78 minutes).   See attached listing of training modules for your position. Again, please keep notes of questions while viewing.  Join the Zoom meeting on Tuesday, September 28, or October 26.

After you are done with the online training,  print out your certificate and please send it to me.

If you have done the training prior, you are welcome to join the Zoom meetings.
