Mitgiwa Family - Learn to Camp Weekends

This is a family camping event for families that are new to camping or would like to strengthen their skills and knowledge of camping. 

Families can bring their own gear or rent gear from Camp Mitigwa.

A shopping list for the menu we will be learning to cook will be provided before your camping weekend, allowing you to purchase items that fit your family's dietary needs. 

We will have expert staff there throughout the weekend to provide information and training on topics such as:

• Gear Selection & Setup
• Outdoor Cooking
• Hiking

Families will have open time that they can rent "Programs in a Box". These programs provide instruction and educational information on the outdoors. Activities include:

• Habitat Explorer
• Scouting Skills
• Conservation
