The 2026 National Scout Jamboree is scheduled for July 22-31, 2026 and you don’t want to miss the Adventure that awaits…

...the Mid-Iowa Council contingent is planning a 15 day experience that promises to be one of the highlights of your scouting experience.  Some education, some great fun and 10 glorious days at the Summit Bechtel Reserve in West Virginia will highlight the scouts jamboree journey.  Cedar Point Amusement Park, Gettysburg Military Park, White Water Rafting and exploring the Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library and Museum are just some of the highlights, and these are all in addition to 10 amazing days and nights at the National Scout Jamboree.

As of today we plan on 2 troops of scouts, 1 male and 1 female, from the Mid-Iowa Council   Space is filling fast and we encourage you to register now to make sure you do not miss this once in a lifetime opportunity.

Requirements to participate in the 2026 National Jamboree:

• Be a currently registered member of a Scout BSA Troop and be actively participating.
• Must be at least12 years of age by July 18, 2026 and have not reached your 18th birthday by July 31, 2026
• Agree to and participate in a pre-jamboree training experiences and all Jamboree unit meetings.
• Submit a Jamboree Medical Form with Parts A, B, and C completed on or after July 31, 2025.
• Be approved by your Scoutmaster and the Mid-Iowa Council.
• Agree to make payments as specified and have all costs totally paid no later than April 30, 2026

To reserve your place now:

• Pay a $350.00 non-refundable, non-transferrable, registration fee. (If you are not selected as part of our contingent your deposit fee will be refunded). With the ever-changing costs, especially of fuel, the total cost for all participants will be finalized at a later day.
  • We expect our total package to be less than $4,000.  This fee includes all transportation costs, admission fees, meals and lodging in route to and from and while at the jamboree. The fee also includes special patches, duffel bag, day pack, tents and a pre-jamboree training experience weekend. All expenses are included except personal spending money.
• Once your registration form and your $350.00 non-refundable deposit is received, and your home troop and the Mid-Iowa Council approves your registration, you will receive more information including tour details, payment schedule and how to complete the rest your jamboree registration.
