Jamboree on the Air is coming!  The third weekend in October is designated for the largest annual gathering of scouting world wide.  This event takes place over radio and Internet - connecting local scouts to their peers around the country and the world.  This year, a group of volunteers is organizing an opportunity for scouts in central Iowa to participate.  We will be conducting our event at the Maytag Scout Center on Saturday, October 21, 2023, beginning at 8am.  For our Cub Scouts with adult partners, we will offer hands-on technical and educational experiences from 10am to 2pm. For our Scouts BSA attendees, we will work towards the Radio Merit Badge (limited to the first 40 scouts). If the Radio Merit Badge slots are full, Scouts BSA can sign up to talk on the radio from 10am to 2pm. 

We need your help to make this happen!  If you are an amateur radio operator who can teach youth in both classrom and field day learning environments, please volunteer.  If you are a scout leader who can help with the Merit Badge, or Cub Scout Adventures, we need you too.  Finally, if you are a scout who thinks this is going to be fun, please sign up - slots are limited!
