Haunted Harvest

Come one, come all to this fun family Scouting event!
Celebrate the end of summer as a family exploring the outdoors and learning together at Camp Akela. Activities will include bouldering, shooting sports, fishing, outdoor games, skits, pedal cars, hayrack rides, and more. The Mitigwa Trading Post will be open all day to purchase all your cool camp apparel. Family events to prepare before you come will include pumpkin carving/decorating and costumes. If you purchase a premium ticket for this event you will be able to participate in a Haunted Carnival from 1:00-4:00 pm that will include bounce houses, balloon animal making, face painting and more. The day will conclude with a campfire followed by a night hike and tent-or-treat event through camp. More specific details will be in an email after your register.
When: Saturday, October 28th - 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM
Where: Camp Akela
Who: All Scouting units and their families (Cubs, Webelos, BSA, Venture, Ship)
Cost:
- Registered youth and adult leaders are free
- Siblings 5 years old and up $10 before September 30th; $15 October 1st-25th
- Siblings under 5 are free but activities are limited
What to Bring:
- Clothing appropriate to the weather ("Be Prepared" for changes! All persons on camp must wear closed toed shoes at all times.)
- Personal gear (water bottle, money for trading post and other vendors, day pack with 6 essentials, etc.)
- Costume that does not restrict movement or vision
- Picnic lunch/dinner - we can not guarantee that food vendors will have food appropriate for all dietary needs. Please bring food appropriate for your family needs if this is an issue.
- Health forms A/B - If you are coming as a unit please have forms available if necesary in a unit binder. Families please have with you incase medical attention is needed.
