Fishing is one of the top 5 activities Cub Scouts and Scouts BSA youth want to do. The new Cub Scout program has fishing activities at every level of the program. The Certified Angler Instructor course prepares leaders to teach fishing skills from Lions through Scout BSA. You will learn how to teach groups of people at all different skill levels to fish. Course skills will include rod and reel, fly fishing, fly tying, and Tenkara. Individuals that finish the course will be considered trained as Merit Badge Counselors for Fishing, Fly Fishing, and Fish and Wildlife Management.
