KLONDIKE DERBY
SATURDAY JANUARY 11th 2020 7:30am – 5:30pm
All Scouts BSA, troops, leaders & parents are invited to attend/participate in the KLONDIKE DERBY @ Camp Wesley Woods South of Indianola, IA (West Of Aquabi State Park)
10 Stations | 30 Sleds (200) Scouts Max Registration | Register Online @ Twin Rivers District
$20 Scout Registration Includes:
Klondike patch, awards, maps, event guide, token & ten challenging but awesome scenarios!
(Scouts need to prepare a warm meal on the Klondike trail, they will be scored / judged on their healthy warm lunch)
Units must transport their gear on a homemade sled that is pulled by the scouts.
Recommended 5-7 scouts per sled. If there is no snow be prepared to have wheels for sled or a plan B.
$15 Adult Registration Includes:
Chili lunch, Klondike patch, event map, & use of gym during the day.
The following awards will be presented to the patrols:
• First, second, and third place for each skill station • “Kings of the Klondike” • Most Effective Patrol
• Most Historic Sled • Most Prepared• Overall Scouting Spirit
• Best Campfire Contribution (Patrols are encouraged to present skit, song, or story for campfire)

What should I bring to the event?
Be prepared with the Scouts BSA 10 essentials for a day on the Klondike trail. More details to come via email to registered participants and will be posted 30 days before the event.
