Aim High Adventure Day

Aim High Adventure Day is a full day Cub Scout adventure hosted by Scouting America, LaSalle Council, Algonquian District.
Youth will spend the day rotating through target sports, Scout skills, and hands on activities designed to build confidence, focus, safety awareness, and outdoor excitement. This event gives Scouts the opportunity to experience a structured day of adventure while learning how to follow range commands, practice sportsmanship, try new skills, and have fun in a safe Scouting environment.
Participants will rotate through the following stations:
- BB Gun Shooting
- Archery
- Slingshot Shooting
- Take Home Craft and Scout Skill Activity
The craft and skill station will include an Aim High themed keepsake and a hands on Scout skill project that youth can take home. This station gives Scouts a meaningful break from the range activities while still keeping the day active, creative, and connected to the Scouting experience.
All range activities will be led and supervised by trained Scouting America volunteers and qualified range personnel. Safety, listening skills, sportsmanship, and doing your best will be emphasized throughout the day.

Important Parent and Adult Partner Requirement
This is not a drop off event. A parent, guardian, or responsible adult must remain on site with their youth for the full day.
To meet Scouting America safety requirements for the slingshot activity, youth must have an adult partner available during that station. Parents and adult partners also help keep the day safe, organized, and successful as Scouts rotate through BB gun shooting, archery, slingshot shooting, and the take home craft station.
Please plan to stay for the full event from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM and be available to support your Scout throughout the day.
Lunch and Snacks
A simple lunch will be provided during the scheduled lunch break.
Families are welcome to bring extra snacks for their youth, especially if their Scout may need additional food throughout the day. Please make sure your youth brings a refillable water bottle, as staying hydrated will be important during this full day outdoor event.
If your youth has food allergies, dietary restrictions, or specific medical needs, please make sure that information is shared during registration and plan accordingly.
Rank and Activity Notes
Some activities may vary by age or Cub Scout rank based on Scouting America safety guidelines. Lions are welcome and encouraged to attend. Lions will participate in age appropriate activities and will have an alternate activity during any station they are not eligible to complete.
What Families Should Bring
Please plan for a full outdoor day and bring:
- Refillable water bottle
- Closed toe shoes
- Weather appropriate clothing
- Sunscreen
- Camp chair (option to sit at outdoor stations)
- Extra snacks, if needed
- Any personal medical items your youth may need
Aim High Adventure Day is open to current Scouts and youth who are interested in learning more about Scouting. This is a great opportunity for families to experience adventure, skill building, and the fun of Scouting in a safe and welcoming environment.
Aim High. Have Fun.
