It is crucial that Cub Scout shooting sports are only run by certified individuals at district or council events, not at the pack level. 

Key Aspects of Rangemaster Training

• To train adults to safely conduct archery and BB range activities at day camps, resident camps, or district events.
• Certification is typically valid for two years.
• Covers range setup, safety commands, equipment care (using a bow stringer, cleaning guns), and mentoring Cub Scouts.
• Cub Scout BB gun and archery activities are prohibited at the pack or den level; they must be done at council-approved events.
