2026 Greater Lafayette Area "Good Scout" Award Luncheon

For over 50 years Doug has been impacting the Greater Lafayette Community in a manner that has been nothing short of 
exceptional. While recently retired from the Kirby Risk Corp., Doug served as the President and Chief Operating Officer of the
manufacturing division. While not an exhaustive list, Doug has provided leadership to Greater Lafayette Commerce, Commnity 
Foundation of Greater Lafayette, Ivy Tech Community College, Purdue Polytechnic, Early Learning Workforce Coalition, several 
advisory boards at Purdue University, the Purdue Technical Assistance Program, and the United Way of Greater Lafayette to name 
a few. The ideals outlined in the Scout Oath and Law: to help other people at all times and to be Trustworthy, Loyal, Helpful, 
Friendly, Courteous, Kind, Obedient, Cheerful, Thrifty, Brave, Clean, and Reverent personify Doug. 
For this reason, and many others, we are honoring Doug with the Good Scout Award!
