Meet the Troops!

We are bringing back Meet the Troops in 2025!!  Arrow of Light Scouts will get the opportunity to participate in a day of fun activities, scout skills, and a peek into the lives they will enter once they cross over in the spring of 2026!  Parents will get the opportunity to meet unit leadership for our Scouts BSA units, and together, parents and their AOL Scouts will be able to come to a well-informed decision on where they would like to cross over to! Come to Franklin L. Cary Camp on September 20th and camp out with a Scouts BSA unit that night!  Here, AOL scouts will get a taste(no pun intended) of what cooking at the campsite means and how the patrol method works!  We are very excited to bring this event back as an opportunity for our AOL Scouts to experience the joys of Scouts BSA and for our Scouts BSA members to get another opportunity to camp in September! 

This is a parent required event for the AOL Scouts!  As a part of your registration, you will take an in person YPT course Saturday afternoon to prepare you for your journey as a Scouts BSA Parent!

Dates:
Scouts BSA Arrive Friday, September 19th at 6:00 PM
AOL Scouts arrive Saturday September 20th at 8:00 AM
All Scouts leave on Sunday September 21st at 11:00 AM

Scouts BSA troops!!!  Our volunteer team needs a verbal commitment for this event by June 30th.  If we do not have 5 units verbally committed, we will cancel this event.  Reach out to darwin.nunn@scouting.org for more information if needed.
