***Due to COVID-19 adult CPR/AED will be taught during this course to fulfill the prerequisite requirement.  Pay close attention to possible changes in location and length of time of the course in ordered to accommodate this additional training***

DATES & Time:
Course run Friday 6 pm – Saturday 11 pm in March, April, and September. You must attend the entire course for certification. Please plan your schedule accordingly.
LOCATION:
Crossroads of America Council Ransburg Scout Reservation
COST:
$150.00 course fee, course materials, certificate, snacks, meals and cabin facilities. There will be no refunds.
PREREQUISITE:
Adult CPR/AED is a prerequisite. A valid Adult CPR/AED certificate must be presented at first class session.
(Due to COVID-19 adult CPR/AED will be taught during the course to fulfill the prerequisite requirement.  Pay close attention to possible changes in location and length of time of the course in ordered to accommodate this additional training).
MINIMUM AGE:
Course participants must be at least 14 years old.
CERTIFICATE:
Participants will receive a two (2) year Emergency Care and Safety Institute certification upon completion.
DEADLINE:
Registrations must be received and paid in full no later than one week before the course. Spots will go fast so register early as spaces are limited.
 

The Wilderness First Aid class is typically fast paced. Based on short lectures and a variety of different skill sets in an easy going atmosphere allowing for alternative participant comprehension levels.  Students are provided with ample opportunity to master core concepts and skills of first aid. Scenarios are realistic and will take place in indoor and outdoor settings.

This course is a hands-on, experiential format providing students with the skills and confidence for making remote medical care decisions.

Two weeks prior to course you will receive an email from instructor with the Course Manual, a map of Ransburg, and the course agenda.
