NOTE:  Due to Increased Costs Camporee Registrations are now $12.00 per attendee beginning Spring 2017

Notes from OA Team on Events:

Lunch Saturday:  Once again Tim Wehr and his family will be providing lunch for everyone at the dining hall Saturday.  Menu will be determined as we see what the weather brings.  We do ask that all Camporee attendees bring(1) can of soup as a food bank donation.

Dutch Oven Cook-Off:  Since having all the entries in one place worked out so well in the Winter, we are going to try it again this time.  Patrols can cook in their campsite OR in the gravel lot behind the dining hall.  All entries will be judged at the dining hall.  One thing to remember is that almost got us last time was that these ovens are HOT and can damage the tables in the hall.  PLEASE remember to bring something to put them on for judging.  Plywood, trivet, etc.....  You can make it part of the presentation if you would like.  Theme is Native American dishes.

Spears:  OA has requested that all patrols create a 6 to 8 foot spear prior to the event.  They will be used during the day and there is a station where they will be decorated.  When I know more about this, I will add to the website.

Camping:  If you have been to Bear Creek before, we will again be camping together in the sites along the main road into camp that goes to the dining hall.  Pretty flat and should provide for good fellowship.

Service:  There are many competitive events in this Camporee, but there will be service element.  Please plan for Scouts to have work gloves with them.  If other things arise, I will let you know.
