Law Exploring Post

The Exploring Law Post #2021 is open to youth ages 14-20 interested in learning about careers in law and government. The Post will meet the second Tuesday of each month from October-May. Each meeting will feature a different legal or government topic and an introduction to professionals in those fields. You will meet and get to speak with judges, political representatives, lawyers, and law students. Topics and activities throughout the course of the year may include: how laws get made, trial and appeals processes, the role of a prosecutor and a public defender, personal injury law, criminal law, constitutional law, courtroom tours, civil rights, immigration, family law, environmental law, health care law, real estate, oral arguments, alternative dispute resolution, bankruptcy, alternative career opportunities, preparation for law school, and how to be a successful student in law school.
We encourage both students and parents to join us at our open house on September 14th to learn more about the program, and the schedule for the upcoming year.
