Terre Haute Parks & Recreation Department - Dobbs Park - Good Turn for Nature Fall Service Project

Good Turn for Nature, September 19 - November 4, 2018 at a participating parks, nature centers, or natural areas.
The Good Turn for Nature is a council service project aims to engage Scouts directly in acts of conservation. Scouts will participate in activities at multiple sites across central Indiana learning about the importance of caring of nature.
Identified conservation projects include:
- Trash pick-up.
- Weed cutting.
- Tree / plant identification.
- Bird identification.
- Trail maintenance.. and much more!
Project: Invasive Species Removal at John G. Dobbs Memorial Grove
Scouts will remove invasive species and help maintain trails.
Number of Scouts: 21-40
Grade Range: 6th-12th

Project: Wildlife Viewing Area Clean-Up at John G. Dobbs Memorial Grove Nature Center
Scouts will pick up litter, rake, and mulch.
Number of Scouts: 10-20
