Good Turn for Nature, September 19 - November 4, 2018 at a participating parks, nature centers, or natural areas.

The Good Turn for Nature is a council service project aims to engage Scouts directly in acts of conservation. Scouts will participate in activities at multiple sites across central Indiana learning about the importance of caring of nature.

Identified conservation projects include:

- Trash pick-up.
- Weed cutting.
- Tree / plant identification.
- Bird identification.
- Trail maintenance.. and much more! 

Project: Invasive Species Removal at Shades State Park

Scouts will cut weeds and flag invasive species.

Number of Scouts: 60 or more
Grade Range: Kindergarten -12th

Project: Sugar Creek Clean-Up at Shades State Park

Scouts will pick up litter.

Number of Scouts: 10-20

Event: National Public Lands Day at Shades State Park

Scouts will pick up litter, survey and identify plants, flag invasive species, and cut weeds.
