Marian University Nina Mason Pulliam EcoLab - Good Turn for Nature Fall Service Project
Good Turn for Nature, September 19 - November 4, 2018 at a participating parks, nature centers, or natural areas.
The Good Turn for Nature is a council service project aims to engage Scouts directly in acts of conservation. Scouts will participate in activities at multiple sites across central Indiana learning about the importance of caring of nature. Event: Environmental Learning Center Preparation at the Marian University Nina Mason Pulliam EcoLab
Scouts will help clear brush and vegetation from the site where the EcoLab Environmental Learning Center (an outdoor environmental education and play space) will be built.
Number of Scouts: 10-30
Grade Range: 6th-12th
Notes from host organization:
Work gloves will be provided. Scouts should wear long pants and closed-toed shoes; long sleeves are preferred but not required. Scouts should bring plenty of water.
Enter EcoLab through the gated entrance off Cold Spring Road, next to the bridge over Crooked Creek. Meet in the EcoLab parking lot next to the pond.
