Are you a teenager interested in Healthcare? Are you curious about different careers within a hospital? Do you like hands on learning? Join us for IU Methodist's Exploring Open House! 

IU Health Methodist Hospital, one of the largest and most comprehensive
hospitals in Indiana, is partnering with Central Indiana Exploring to offer a
Health Career Explorer program for youth ages 14-20. The post provides an
in-depth look at different healthcare careers by providing an opportunity to
learn and explore in a variety of healthcare settings.
Meeting once per month for 2 hours, explorers will have the opportunity to
learn about both clinical (examples: nurses, physicians, physical therapists,
etc.) and non-clinical healthcare careers (examples: protective services,
informatics, administration, etc.). Explorers will have the opportunity to
learn about the spectrum of healthcare from entry level to doctorate level
career opportunities. Additionally, youth will have various opportunities to
shadow healthcare specialties throughout the year.
Every meeting will include 1-2 guest speakers, hands-on activities, and a
tour of various healthcare areas. Shirt, parking and refreshments will be
provided at no cost.
