Fishers Parks & Recreation - Good Turn for Nature Fall Service Project
Good Turn for Nature, September 19 - November 4, 2018 at a participating parks, nature centers, or natural areas.
The Good Turn for Nature is a council service project aims to engage Scouts directly in acts of conservation. Scouts will participate in activities at multiple sites across central Indiana learning about the importance of caring of nature.
Identified conservation projects include:
- Trash pick-up.
- Weed cutting.
- Tree / plant identification.
- Bird identification.
- Trail maintenance.. and much more!
Project: Independent Park Clean Up
Scouts will pick-up Trash
Number of Scouts: 60 or less
Grade Range: Kindergarten -12th

Event: Fall Fest Pop Up Event
Scouts will be leading conservation/nature activities for youth, event set up, managing campfire
Number of Scouts: 10-20
Grade Range: 6th-12th

Event: CITO - Cache In Trash Out
Scouts will pick-up tTrash , Creation of CITO containers (should fulfill one of the requirements for the Geocaching merit badge).
