Crossroads Spring Camporee

Come Join host units from White River, Bear Creek and Fall Creek Districts for our Spring Camporee in Connersville!

GENERAL INFORMATION:'

  • Railroading MB - COMPLETE.  No Pre or Post requirements.
  • All Districts Welcome
  • REGISTRATION CLOSES - 4/16/2025
  • Cost is $35 per Scout or Scouter -FULL PROGRAM - Limited 500 Persons
  • Cost is $25 per Adult Participant - NO TRAIN OR PATCH - Limted 100 Persons
  • Be Prepared with Your Scout Essential Packs and good Scouting Skills.
  • Troops / Patrols should plan to have a skit or song for the campfire.
  • Saturday Sunrise 6:40 AM / Sunset 8:41 PM
  • All Attendees MUST Register & Complete Heath Forms Parts A & B.

 

What is the Adult Participant Option?  The train ride is only a small portion of the event. In past camporees, we always have leaders hang back taking care of campsites, making meals, transporting youth, etc. We are offering this option to make sure we get as many youth on train to compete MB and for adults that are there only in support. The max number on the train can't be over 500 persons.

Saturday Campfire:  Please be sure your unit is ready with a skit of song for the campfire.  If we have a unit that would like to volunteer to be Master of Ceremonies, please let us know.

Medical Forms Part A/B (https://www.scouting.org/health-and-safety/ahmr/) will be reviewed at check in and held by Medical Officer and returned at Check-out.  PLEASE HAVE THEM READY!

UNIT SUBMITTALS AT CHECK-IN

Put the following documents in a One Gallon Zip Lock bag with your unit number in big black letters on the bag. This will be collected as soon as you arrive at the campgrounds

A) WAIVER OF LIABILITY AND HOLD HARMLESS AGREEMENT

The railroad requires every person attending the Camporee to have this form properly completed, signed and submitted on Friday evening.  Failure to submit the form will prevent that person from attending training on Saturday or entering railroad property. 

B) THE WAIVER FORM IS INCLUDED IN THIS GUIDE AT APPENDIX ‘B’.  

BSA Medical form Parts A&B, current. Required for all participating youth and adults.  Must be signed by parent or guardian for youth 18 or younger.

C A Merit Badge Blue Card for each Scout.

The blue card must be completed front and back and include the title of the merit badge (Railroading), Scout’s name, address, Troop number, District, Council, Scoutmaster signature, and date.

D) A roster of all attendees who arrive at the site, to include the names of all Scouts and Scouters.
