2017 Battle of Belzer
Event Details
The Battle of Belzer is a unique experience where both youth and adults are enlisted into the Union or Confederate army for the weekend. You will live like a Civil War soldier, while learning to battle as they did during this time.
Groups are paired with Civil War reenactors and travel through drills and historical education stations. Participants will participate in company and battalion assemblies and parades. They will attend military drills, including the School of the Soldier. They will get to witness cannon firings, as well.
Our soliders will also live camp life in the bivouac area including eating a soldier's rations such as hardtack and beef jerky. This is a great hands on learning event for Scouts and adults!
