2025 AES 500 Festival Parade – Scout Participation

Event Description:
Join Scouts from across central Indiana in one of the nation’s top parades! Represent Scouting with pride at the AES 500 Festival Parade, a nationally recognized event alongside the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade and the Tournament of Roses. With over 200,000 spectators, floats, balloons, marching bands, celebrities, and all 33 Indy 500 drivers, this is an unforgettable way to kick off race weekend.
- Cost: Free (registration required)
- Patch: All youth registered by May 10 will receive a commemorative patch
Event Details:
- Location: Downtown Indianapolis (specific rally point TBA)
- Route Distance: 1.5 miles
- Who Can Attend: All registered Scouts and Scouters (max 300 participants)
- Attire: Full field uniform required for all participants
- Parade begins at noon.
Please Note: The parade begins at 12:00 PM. Streets downtown close at 7:30 AM, so plan to arrive early to avoid road closures and ensure timely arrival at the rally point.

If you would like to volunteer to help set up and take down chairs for the AES 500 Festival Parade, please register using the link below. This is a separate event from the parade march, and due to overlapping times, participants may only register for one—either the parade marching group or the chair setup/cleanup team.
