Event Details

Belzer Day Camp

The world's greatest Cub Scout Day Camp offers an exciting program for Tigers, Wolves, Bears, Webelos and Arrow of Light Scouts!

Camp is situated on a wooded, 100 acre facility that has been in development for over 90 years. Camp Belzer was created to provide a safe environment where Cub Scouts can learn, advance, and play in the great outdoors.

Camp activities will include:
  • Swimming
  • BB Guns & Gun Safety
  • Archery
  • Team Building Games
  • Crafts
  • Cooking
  • Rafting
  • Challenge Courses
  • Nature Exploration
  • Campfires
  • Spirit Competitions
  • Carnival
  • Firecrafter (Webelos)
  • And much more!

A hot lunch will be included Monday through Thursday for all Cub Scouts. Adults may purchase the same lunch for $3.00 a person, payable at the Leader's Meeting each day. A menu for the week can be found on the Camp Belzer website.

For all weeks except the week of July 2nd - 6th, camp runs from 8:15 AM - 4:00 PM, Monday through Thursday. An extended day option is available (on a limited basis) Monday through Thursday to provide care and programming for those Scouts who need to stay at camp up until 5:30 PM. On Friday, the program day will be 12:30 - 6:00 PM. A family/pack dinner runs from 6:00 - 7:30 PM. You may bring your dinner or purchase dinner in camp. The closing campfire and optional overnight camp-out will follow. Fees for the camp-out are $8 per person and will be collected during your week of camp.

New at Belzer this year, camp will operate during the week of July 2nd – 6th with special activities for Independence Day! For just this week, family day will be held on Wednesday, July 4th. There will be several new programs added especially for the 4th of July. In the evening, there will be a patriotic bonfire and fireworks display. There will be no overnight option. All of this will be included for packs who attend camp this week. Individual families and packs may also come to Belzer just for the day’s festivities. Registration for the day-long 4th of July celebration will open next spring.

Scouts should bring their swim suit and towel each day. They should also bring a water bottle, sun screen and bug spray (non-aerosol, please). They may want to bring some spending money for the great Belzer Trading Post featuring snacks, souvenirs and T-shirts.

Non-Scout tag-a-longs are welcome to attend for a daily fee, paid at camp each day. Tag-a-longs six and older ($35 a day) may participate in all camp activities. Tag-a-longs five and under ($15 a day) may participate in most programming.

Everyone in camp - Scouts, leaders, and tag-a-longs - must submit a completed health form.
