Bear Creek District Swim Test & Swim Adventure Belt Loops

Dive into a day of fun, learning, and aquatic skills at our Swim event! Cub Scouts will rotate through age-appropriate water activities designed to build confidence, safety skills, and swimming proficiency. Scout BSA members may also attend to complete their annual swim test.
Session 1: If your Scout is signed up for day camp already, this is included and you did not need to sign up again.

June 20th from 9 am until 1 pm, or the last person signed up is done.
At no additional cost, if your cub is signed up for the Bear Creek Regional Day camp, they will get this opportunity at Roberts Park from 9am to approximately 10:30am on June 5th. If you wish to do this as a stand alone event, please sign up here.
• This is a family-oriented event. A parent/guardian must attend with their Scout, OR the Cub Scout Pack must provide leadership.
• Please sign your cub scout up for their rank in the 2026-2027 school year.
• Please attend only 1 of the 2 sessions.
• This is not a drop-off event.
• Scouts only need to stay long enough to complete their adventure requirements, but they are welcome to remain and continue participating in activities as long as the event is open.
• Scouts may enjoy the pool after completing their required skills as long as lifeguards are on duty and capacity allows.
• Shelbyville pool does not have any sections less than 3 feet deep
• Any Scout who completes the full Swim Adventure requirements will receive their Swim Adventure belt loop on the same day.
• Scouts BSA may complete their annual Scouting America Swim Test.
• This Swim Event can be 1 of 3 activities needed for the “Summertime Fun Adventure” belt loop. Please sign up for whichever is more convenient for you, either by date or location.
• Attending this event will allow you to participate in the boating day at camp Kikthawenund
*Note: The acceptance of the Swim Test certification is at the discretion of the individual Camp Swim Director.
