White River Cub Adventure Days - Aquatics Day

Event Details

Swim Adventure Day

Dive into a full day of fun, learning, and aquatic skills at our Swim Adventure Day! Cub Scouts will rotate through age-appropriate water activities designed to build confidence, safety skills, and swimming proficiency. Scouts BSA member may also attend to complete their annual swim test.

NOTE: WHEN YOU REGISTER, PLEASE SELECT THE SCOUT RANK FOR THE 2026–2027 SCHOOL YEAR.

What to Expect

  • This is a family-oriented event. A parent/guardian must attend with their Scout, OR the Cub Scout Pack must provide leadership.
  • This is not a drop-off event.
  • Please arrive at least 15 minutes prior to your selected time slot for check-in and to ensure proper instructions and safety briefings
  • This Adventure Day runs in rotating time blocks, not as full-day structured program. Scouts only need to stay long enough to complete their adventure requirements, but they are welcome to remain and continue participating in activities as long as the event is open.
  • Open swim time will be available. Scouts may enjoy the pool after completing their required skills as long as lifeguards are on duty and capacity allows.
  • Any Scout who completes the full Swim Adventure requirements will receive their Swim Adventure belt loop on the same day.
  • Scouts BSA youth may also complete rank-required swimming skills, including:
    • Second Class: Safe swim precautions, BSA Beginner Test, and basic water rescue methods (reach, throw, and explanations).
    • First Class: BSA Swimmer Test, safe trip afloat precautions, watercraft part identification, proper boating body positioning, and line rescue demonstrations.
  • Scouts BSA may complete their annual Scouting America Swim Test.

*Note: The acceptance of the Swim Test certification is at the descretion of the individual Camp Swim Director. In the past, all camps have accepted our certification.
