Youth Mental Health First Aid
WHY YOUTH MENTAL HEALTH FIRST AID? Youth Mental Health First Aid teaches you how to identify, understand and respond to signs of mental illness and substance use disorders in youth. This 8-hour training gives adults who work with youth the skills they need to reach out and provide initial support to children and adolescents (ages 6-18) who may be developing a mental health or substance use problem and help connect them to the appropriate care.
Registration is at 8:00 am CT; course begins at 8:30 am, please bring a sack lunch so we can offer a working lunch and complete the training earlier in the day. (approximately 4:30 pm). You are also welcome to bring sacks to share, please plan on wearing a mask and we will attempt to arrange the meeting room to provide proper social distancing.
